Jade (Japanese: ジェイド Jade) is a Pokémon Trainer from Goldenrod City in the Johto region who has traveled to Furo to pursue her ambition. She is also a main protagonist in Pokémon CNJ, alongside her friends, Crimson and Navy. In the story, Jade is revealed to have come to Furo in the hopes of catching a specific Pokémon in the hopes of making it her lifelong companion and pet. This also makes her the only protagonist in the story who is not interested in the Furo League. Due to her goal, Jade ends up traversing the entire region before claiming her desired Pokémon. During this journey, she assists Crismon and Navy in fighting back against the criminal organizations, Team Chi and Team Karakuri.

Like Navy, Jade was handed a Pokédex by Professor Hiraku in the hopes it'll help her in her adventures around Furo.

TriviaEdit

  • Jade was created a while after Wyvern 0m3g4 had created and developed Navy. Feeling interested in designing a female Trainer, Wyvern went about thinking up ideas for Jade. However, shortly after beginning work on Jade, WaterLion1551 and Wyvern had decided on attempting to write their own Pokémon fanfic, Pokémon CNJ. As a result, Jade was quickly reworked in order to fit the story as its third main protagonist.
  • Unlike Crimson and Navy, whose name similarities to Red and Blue respectively were unintentional, Jade's name was intentionally given to her to reflect Green's (known more commonly as "Leaf" to most, or Blue in Japan,) with one slight difference being that Jade's name refers to a darker shade of green. This is most obviously an attempt to reference the first three Pokémon games, Pokémon Red, Green and Blue.
    • What is unintentional however, is that Jade bears a role among her fellow protagonists in a similar way to Green's from the manga. In both cases, they're the only female Trainer among three main protagonists, and are also the only ones not interested in competing in the Pokémon League; only doing so for certain reasons (Green competed in the League for fun, while Jade collected Gym Badges in order to use HMs to help her navigate Furo.) Instead they're the only ones who choose to follow a more personal goal.
    • Also of interest is that they're both from the Johto region, and prefer using clever strategies involving their Pokémon's unique skills, Moves and Abilities.
